Welcome back to my blog! Today I decided to make a huge list of some epic writing software I use and things that really help me during writing to get those creative juices going! This will mostly be music and websites, but there might be some other little nick nacks in there also. 1: BTS piano covers - Now, I know what you're thinking. Wow, what a fangirl, which is completely valid and true, but this is truly what helps me to write. I turn on some hour long mashups and it really helps me to focus and get my writing done when I need to. NaNoWrimo 2017 – My Thoughts, Struggles, and Rants

As I'm writing this it is the fifth day of NaNoWriMo! I have over 6,000 words and everything's going... alright. If you're not aware of what NaNoWriMo is, it stands for National Novel Writing Month and it's a program where they challenge you to write a novel in a month (the regular word count goal is 50,00 which is also the one I'm doing). This is my third year doing it and on my first year I got only around 2,000 words and didn't even finish the book. My second year was better and I finished my novel and hit my goal of 20,000 words. This year I'm determined to hit 50,000 words. So I suppose you're wondering what my book is about. (more…)

The Writing Contest That Will Get Me Published

Howdy! So for my first post, I decided to talk about the writing contest that is going to get me published. To be honest, before I entered this contest the thought of letting someone read my work terrified me because the thought of being judged is scary! I had been writing for about a year and a half (now two and a half) and I had an idea for a story. I wanted to write the story of two kids growing up as best friends, only for one to be lost somehow, but I just didn't really know how. The idea of cancer, drugs, suicide, and every other way possible to die tumbled around in my mind for a couple days, before it hit me. (more…)
